CIAE compared its anatomy and colour distribution with birds and proposed a great kiskadee, Pitangus sulphuratus, or a similar appearance. The photographer had seen no unusual object during exposure. The agency classified the bird explanation Type B, preserving the uncertainty of the proposed species identification.
