Official source account — 2021 annual report, printed page 73: Andrés Sutkowski discovered a row of lights in photographs that had not been visible directly. CIAE compared each suspect light with the row of bright lamps along gazebo roofs in the same scene. Their symmetrical positions across the optical centre matched internal lens reflections. The agency concluded that the photographed row was an optical ghost pattern and classified the explanation Type A. The summaries distinguish reported observations from the agency’s proposed explanations. Source Type A/B ratings describe explanatory confidence and are not encounter classes.
