Official source account — 2020 annual report, printed page 46: Eduardo Seijas found an unfamiliar shape while reviewing a photograph of an antenna and initially thought it might be a bird. CIAE examined its morphology and colour pattern and concluded that a butterfly had crossed the frame during exposure. Its absence from subsequent photographs and discovery only after processing supported this interpretation. The agency classified the explanation Type B rather than a reproducible identification.
