Javier Cabanillas Moon observation

Official source account — 2016 annual report, printed page 27: Javier Cabanillas photographed a white object that appeared fixed in the sky at La Estancita, Córdoba, on 30 August 2014. CEFAE used the reported observation data to reconstruct the sky. The agency concluded that the photographed object was compatible with the Moon, in the matching direction for the date, time and location. This account includes a visual observation as well as photographs, rather than a mark noticed only after image review. The summaries distinguish reported observations from the agency’s proposed explanations. Source Type A/B ratings describe explanatory confidence and are not encounter classes. The map uses an approximate GeoNames locality centroid, not the observation point.
