Official source account — 2020 annual report, printed page 96: Laura D'Ascanio reported approximately a dozen lights travelling on a straight, steady course toward the southeastern sector. Although she supplied no photograph or video, her account specified the location, time, number and behaviour of the lights. CIAE checked an orbital simulation and found a matching Starlink train. It classified the satellite explanation Type A on the strength of that agreement. The summaries distinguish reported observations from the agency’s proposed explanations. Source Type A/B ratings describe explanatory confidence and are not encounter classes. The map uses an approximate GeoNames locality centroid, not the observation point.
