Avellaneda — Province of Buenos Aires

Official source account — 2021 annual report, printed page 52: An Avellaneda witness saw and filmed a white object moving on a straight, steady course. CIAE checked historical weather information and found the movement consistent with the prevailing wind. IPACO analysis also detected a short hanging string. The agency concluded that the video showed a helium balloon carried by the wind and classified the case Type A. The summaries distinguish reported observations from the agency’s proposed explanations. Source Type A/B ratings describe explanatory confidence and are not encounter classes. The map uses an approximate GeoNames locality centroid, not the observation point.
