Daniel Sosa — La Plata, Province of Buenos Aires

Official source account — 2021 annual report, printed page 14: Daniel Sosa discovered an object in the upper-right part of a La Plata photograph during review. CIAE examined its shape and apparent anatomical projections and proposed a flying insect passing very close to the camera from left to right. The agency retained a Type B assessment: the image supported the explanation, but the accidental exposure could not be recreated or independently witnessed. The summaries distinguish reported observations from the agency’s proposed explanations. Source Type A/B ratings describe explanatory confidence and are not encounter classes. The map uses an approximate GeoNames locality centroid, not the observation point.
