Las Ovejas — Province of Neuquén

Official source account — 2021 annual report, printed page 80: A Las Ovejas photographer noticed an unfamiliar object only while reviewing the image. CIAE found a streamlined body and a translucent membranous appendage near its front third. It considered an insect crossing in approximately level flight during exposure the supported explanation. The agency classified the case Type B and noted that the photographer reported seeing no unusual object at the time. The summaries distinguish reported observations from the agency’s proposed explanations. Source Type A/B ratings describe explanatory confidence and are not encounter classes. The map uses an approximate GeoNames locality centroid, not the observation point.
