Official source account — 2019 annual report, printed page 19: Mauricio San Martín discovered an apparent object in a photograph taken at Miramar on 17 February 2019. CIAE described an aircraft-like structure and identified a slanting thread descending from its nose. The agency concluded that it was compatible with a small airplane-shaped kite, such as one made from expanded-polystyrene sheet. Its Type A assessment relied on the image structure, shading and detected tether, rather than a claim of an unexplained craft.
