CIAE identified the red lights as warning beacons on a tall water-tank structure. A Stellarium reconstruction placed Pollux at the white point's low elevation and approximate bearing. Its variable colours fitted atmospheric scintillation. The agency classified the combination of structural beacons and a star as a Type A explanation. The summaries distinguish reported observations from the agency’s proposed explanations. Source Type A/B ratings describe explanatory confidence and are not encounter classes. The map uses an approximate GeoNames locality centroid, not the observation point.
