Oscar Rodríguez — Trenque Lauquen; Province of Buenos Aires

Official source account — 2020 annual report, printed page 151: Oscar Rodríguez photographed an orange point low in the sky at about 20:31. CIAE reconstructed Mars in the relevant region at the time, shortly after its close approach to Earth. The photograph contained only one comparable bright point, of the planet's expected colour. The agency identified Mars and classified the case Type A; the report's directional wording should be retained as source evidence. The summaries distinguish reported observations from the agency’s proposed explanations. Source Type A/B ratings describe explanatory confidence and are not encounter classes. The map uses an approximate GeoNames locality centroid, not the observation point.
