Caseros Sun photograph

Official source account — 2016 annual report, printed page 19: A motorist's cellphone photograph taken near Caseros on Provincial Route 39 on 12 August 2009 showed a dark mark in front of the Sun. CEFAE interpreted it as the CMOS sensor saturation effect known as the black Sun. The witness said other people photographed the same direction without recording the anomaly. The agency cited this difference between cameras as support for an image-sensor effect rather than an external object.
