Lucía Quiroga photograph

Official source account — 2016 annual report, printed page 55: Lucía Quiroga discovered an object near the upper-right part of a photograph taken at Capilla del Monte on 20 January 2013. CEFAE enlarged the image and identified features compatible with a nearby flying insect, including apparent wing roots and part of a wing edge. The report notes that transparent, rapidly beating wings can be difficult to record. It does not assign an exact insect species. The summaries distinguish reported observations from the agency’s proposed explanations. Source Type A/B ratings describe explanatory confidence and are not encounter classes. The map uses an approximate GeoNames locality centroid, not the observation point.
