Buena Esperanza — Province of San Luis

Official source account — 2021 annual report, printed page 69: A Buena Esperanza photographer discovered an unfamiliar form only after reviewing the image. CIAE found a spindle-shaped body and two symmetrical projections attached near its front third. These features supported a flying insect captured during a steep turn. The agency classified the explanation Type B, noting that the photographer had noticed no corresponding unusual object in the landscape during exposure. The summaries distinguish reported observations from the agency’s proposed explanations. Source Type A/B ratings describe explanatory confidence and are not encounter classes. The map uses an approximate GeoNames locality centroid, not the observation point.
