Case description
An archived Brazilian questionnaire names José Augusto de Lima Gonçalves, a tourist-park administrator in Serra Negra, São Paulo, as the observer of an unusual object at about 20:00 on October 12, 1968. He said his younger daughter called him from the television to a living-room window. They saw a bright blue object approximately the size of an automobile, about fifty metres away and fifteen metres above a tree.
The witness described a domed body with several luminous antenna-like projections. A drawing on the first page shows a broad flattened oval, a central dome and projections around its edge. He reported no sound, no visible doors or other openings, and explicitly no occupants. After about five minutes he and other people went toward it. He said it moved roughly four hundred metres and settled on the ground; a large ravine prevented them from getting closer than about fifty metres, and the object withdrew as they approached.
No ground marks were reported, with rain the following day offered as a reason that traces could not be examined. The two-page file preserves duplicated questionnaire material, not a photograph of the object or an established identification. Although the imported record places it among entity encounters, the actual account supports a visual and alleged landing report without observed beings. The plate follows the witness’s sketch; it does not add occupants to satisfy the catalogue label.
