Case description

On February 6, 1969, fruit seller Tiago Machado reported an encounter near Pirassununga, São Paulo, in an isolated area close to an agricultural tractor school. The preserved two-page Brazilian investigation form gives the time as 8:15, with the surviving synopsis interpreting the notation as evening. Machado described a small silver object already resting on the ground. Its body was circular and plate-like but also more rounded or spherical than a flat disc. A dome rose from the upper surface, with a smaller projection underneath. The silver finish reminded him of the aluminum coloring used on a contemporary Minister cigarette package. The object stood on three legs, struts or supports. Each ended in a rounded, hemispherical foot. Machado also described a small exit hatch and a broad panoramic viewport made from transparent material. Those design details are preserved in the typed form and in a partial drawing on the first page. A handwritten addition says the occupants were completely protected by an atmosphere. The accessible material does not preserve their number, faces, bodies or clothing clearly enough to support a detailed portrait. Any figures visible through the panoramic window must therefore remain indistinct rather than being converted into standard alien types. Machado said a light from the object affected him and left him unable to move. The form does not provide a medically documented duration, injury or instrument reading associated with the paralysis. It also does not describe him entering the craft or being transported. The first source page contains crossed-out language, handwritten additions and a drawing partly cut off by the scan. The second page repeats the typed account in a more structured form. Both pages were visually reviewed during the earlier archival pass, making this a stronger design source than a one-line catalogue summary while still leaving important uncertainties. The document entered the Brazilian National Archives under reference ARX.0.0.33. Its provenance establishes an identifiable witness, place, date and preserved investigative record. It does not by itself prove that the object was extraterrestrial or that the reported immobilization had an external technological cause. Nearby legacy catalogue cases differ in date, time and descriptive details. Because the comparison was incomplete, the Atlas does not silently merge them with Machado's report or create additional facts from their similarity. The present dossier is anchored to the named archival statement. The Atlas assigns CE3 because the source includes an occupant-related annotation associated with a landed object. It does not claim direct face-to-face contact or boarding. The strongest elements are the witness's specific craft description, the partial contemporary drawing and the preserved two-page form. The portrait reconstructs the landed object according to those details: a compact rounded silver craft with upper dome, lower projection, small hatch, panoramic transparent window and exactly three rounded-foot supports, with Machado stopped in its pale light. Occupants remain vague silhouettes because their appearance was not recorded. It is an illustrative reconstruction, not a photograph of the object.
