The Concórdia account has conflicting dates. A modern archival synopsis dates it to 12 December 1951, while the surviving Diário de Notícias clipping explicitly says 1954 and starts the recalled radio shift on 12 December 1954. The clipping bears a 13 May 1969 stamp, so its 1954 wording concerns the reported event rather than publication. It identifies radio announcer Wilson Getúlio Cancian as twenty-seven at interview, without establishing his age at the sighting. He said he left Rádio Rural de Concórdia, station ZYX-3, at 00:35 after about an hour of unexplained interference; the overnight sequence also leaves the precise calendar-day boundary unclear.
Walking along Avenida Quinze de Novembro with a woman identified as Marlene, Cancian saw an enormous luminous object hovering silently at low altitude. The initial position was estimated at roughly four metres above the ground.
The object was lenticular, approximately twelve metres in diameter and five to six metres high. Cancian described the lower half as fixed while the upper half rotated. Its brightness illuminated the street strongly enough that a neighbor, Dona Zulmira, reportedly noticed the glare from her window.
The disc moved away and then returned. On its closest approach it descended to roughly half a metre above the ground at an estimated distance of twenty metres from the two main witnesses. Through openings in the rotating upper section, Cancian and Marlene reportedly saw two occupants. The accessible synopsis does not preserve their appearance.
Marlene, who was pregnant, became frightened and ran. The object then climbed rapidly toward the northeast in the direction of Marcelino Ramos near the Santa Catarina–Rio Grande do Sul border. No exhaust, wind, dust or ordinary engine sound is described.
The later account attributes physical problems to both witnesses. Cancian reportedly experienced digestive disturbances and visual glare or impairment. Marlene was said to have suffered major hair loss and a miscarriage four days later. These are serious reported outcomes, but the available dossier does not include contemporaneous medical records or an analysis capable of proving that the luminous object caused them.
Nelson Malato was called after the event, while Zulmira's observation concerned the light from her window rather than a close view of the craft and occupants. Their roles are retained separately so later retellings do not turn all named people into equivalent eyewitnesses to every detail.
The account is preserved under Brazilian National Archives reference ARX.0.0.71 with the title Viu disco voador de perto e fez um desenho completo. A publicly available scan preserves the newspaper’s event-year wording and the separate 1969 clipping stamp. Its conflict with the modern 1951 synopsis remains unresolved; the narrative does not silently harmonise those dates.
Archival custody supports the provenance of the stored report, not its extraordinary interpretation. The claimed radio interference, craft dimensions, rotating upper structure, two occupants and health effects remain attributed observations. No verified photograph, environmental measurement or medical causation analysis is presented here.
CE3 reflects the reported view of two figures inside the low object. The case is distinctive for its named radio professional, second main witness, neighbor's light observation and highly specific craft mechanics, while the source limitations and health-causation uncertainty remain explicit.
The portrait reconstructs the closest reported view: Cancian and the fully clothed pregnant Marlene stand twenty metres from a huge silent lenticular object hovering just above the street, its upper section rotating and exactly two occupants visible through illuminated openings. Zulmira watches from a distant window. The image does not depict or imply the later medical outcomes. It is an illustrative reconstruction, not documentary evidence.
