Brazilian archive report — Pelotas, RS — 1973

Archive item ARX 146 preserves SPIPDV Bulletin 3, issued in Pelotas during April–October 1973. Its opening encounter concerns February 1952, not a 1973 landing. Maria Farias Leivas,65 when reporting it about 21 years later, said she had been camping with relatives at Laranjal beach. Around 12:30 a.m., after the others fell asleep, she heard a sound resembling a fishing boat and stepped outside the tent. She described a silver disc about 5 meters wide, hovering roughly 50 centimeters above the ground only 3 meters away. It had a slightly flattened dome, square windows and intense blue illumination below and around it. A figure more than 2 meters tall descended a ladder and approached. She described brown skin, a triangular face, long chin, pointed ears, joined eyebrows, a short helmet and a shining silver outfit with matching gloves and boots. She believed a message was whispered directly into her right ear, asking for secrecy and a return meeting in 60 days. Maria said she felt immobilized, then asked whether she would be returned to Earth. The figure gave no answer, reentered the craft and departed. She subsequently described two additional occupants: a robust, light-skinned man seated at a small white steering wheel and a youthful brown-clad figure. She found no traces the following morning and did not return at the requested time. The bulletin also contains unrelated 1972–1973 reports and extraterrestrial interpretations; government custody of the publication does not endorse those conclusions.
