Brazilian archive report — Pelotas, RS — 1975-07-07

The Pelotas file preserves an unsigned typed text attributed to eighteen-year-old Ronaldo Gomes Marques. Its closing note says he received the message on the night of 7 July 1975 at his home on Rua Santos Dumont. The note adds that he was writing while watching an object described only as a flying saucer remaining stationary outside his window. A shorter catalogue field instead says 7 March, so the scan's July wording and that metadata conflict should remain visible. The text moves between immediate impressions, questions and appeals for peace. Marques wonders whether the sensations are imagination, notices a curious light among clouds and describes an exchange of greetings with a passing night watchman. The supposed communication urges humanity away from war, racism and ambition and toward peace and care for nature. He questions whether the imagined correspondents might be ordinary humans, monsters or robots; those questions are not descriptions of creatures he actually saw. According to the closing note, the original was held by the Sociedade Pelotense de Investigação e Pesquisa de Discos Voadores. Neither that attribution nor later government custody independently verifies telepathy or an extraterrestrial source. There is no technical account of the object's size, color, structure or occupants. The illustration therefore shows the young writer at a window with only an indistinct distant light, explicitly labeling the claimed-message context rather than inventing a landing or alien visitors.
