Open this case in the interactive AtlasCase description
On 7 January 2025 at 20:20 Z, a pilot in command reported an object shortly after taking off from runway 28R at SBGR. The aircraft was climbing through approximately 6,000 feet above a cloud layer, with good visibility. The pilot described a dark or black triangular, delta-wing-like object that appeared inflatable and stationary. Its estimated span was 10 metres. It was a little above the aircraft, at a reported distance of about 100 feet, toward the north. The observation was brief, occurring as the aircraft passed underneath it. One observer is recorded. The form explicitly reports no observing equipment, physical recording, sound or trail. The witness’s identifying details are redacted. CINDACTA I received the communication at 22:40 Z the same day. The document contains the pilot’s account without an identification or a finding establishing what the object was.
Source review: Two pages visually reviewed. Inflatable appearance is the witness’s description, not an official balloon identification. CE1 reflects a sighting without reported effects or beings.
