Aircraft position not supplied, Brazil
Open this case in the interactive AtlasCase description
On 22 November 2025 at 16:30 Z, an observer reported receiving a target on the aircraft’s TCAS display. The entry gives a five-minute duration, a distance of 15 nautical miles and a position at the aircraft’s nine o’clock, with movement toward the northeast. Altitude, shape, size, colour, speed and geographic location were not supplied. One observer is recorded, with claimed knowledge of aviation and meteorology. The form explicitly identifies TCAS as the observation equipment; it does not describe a visual sighting of an object outside the aircraft. No physical recording is reported. CINDACTA III received the communication, but the entered communication time is 16:00 Z, earlier than the stated occurrence. The two-page filing gives no independent identification or equipment-fault finding.
Source review: Both pages visually reviewed. CE1 is the Atlas’s broad sighting/instrument-report category, not a claim of a nearby visual craft. A TCAS target is not classified as electromagnetic interference. Internal 16:00/16:30 time disagreement remains explicit.
