Aviation encounter — northern New South Wales — 1969-08-31

A RAAF Canberra bomber pilot and hundreds of ground witnesses reported an aerial observation at or near northern New South Wales on 31 August 1969. An object resembling an aluminum zeppelin was reportedly visible for three hours. Source: Dominique F.
