Case description
On December 16, 1954, Jesús Paz and two companions reportedly stopped near San Carlos, Venezuela, while returning from dinner. Paz left the car and walked behind vegetation. His companions said they heard him cry out and found him unconscious while a small, hairy figure moved toward a low-hovering, shiny object.
The APRO account identifies one companion as national guardsman Luis Mejia. Unable to retrieve a firearm from his barracks, he reportedly threw a stone as the figure entered the object. The craft then departed with a loud sound. Paz was said to have been treated for shock and scratches along his side and back.
APRO's January 15, 1955, bulletin and the HUMCAT catalogue preserve this account. The available material describes an alleged attack and departure, not a demonstrated taking aboard the object. Medical findings are reported through those publications rather than examined original clinical records. The illustration focuses on the companions' view of the fleeing figure and hovering object.
