Case description
On October 21, 1963, the Moreno family was staying at its Santa Teresa property near Trancas, Tucumán, Argentina. Oscar Galíndez's later interview with Yolié del Valle Moreno de Colotti places a generator failure around 7 p.m., before the unusual lights were noticed. She did not know whether the failure was connected with the subsequent episode. At approximately 9:30 p.m., Dora Martina Guzmán alerted the women to lights near the railway.
They described silhouettes resembling people against a luminous, elongated formation. When approaching another light, they reported a domed object with illuminated windows. A powerful flash caused them to stagger and retreat. Several lights or objects then appeared around the property, projecting beams that seemed to extend slowly. Yolié described heat after putting her forearm into one beam. The display reportedly lasted about forty to forty-five minutes before moving eastward.
The investigation also records accounts of mist, an unusual smell, vegetation effects, small white pellets, and Dora receiving treatment for burns. A carbonate analysis attributed to Walter Gonzalo Tell did not establish an extraterrestrial origin. Later local reporting notes military exercises in the region as an alternative context requiring examination. This is a witness account investigated after the event, not a continuously recorded sequence. The plate reconstructs the farmhouse-and-railway phase; UFO-12201 is a parallel catalogue record of the same Trancas episode.
