Trancas: Moreno family encounter report — October 21, 1963

Oscar Galíndez’s interview with Yolié del Valle Moreno de Colotti reconstructs the Trancas episode at the Santa Teresa estate on October 21, 1963. The private generator had failed around 7 p.m.; Yolié expressly did not know whether that was connected with what followed. Around 9:30, fifteen-year-old domestic worker Dora Martina Guzmán repeatedly alerted Yolié and her sister Yolanda to intermittent lights outside. Looking toward the railway, the three described two bright sources connected by a tube-like luminous formation. Numerous normal-height human-shaped silhouettes appeared against it, perhaps within it, but vegetation limited their view. Near the gate they then approached a different greenish light and perceived a metallic domed disc with illuminated rectangular windows, hovering close above the ground amid mist. A sudden flash or flame reportedly knocked them down; they retreated indoors. The account describes several objects directing slowly extending beams around the estate, rising indoor heat and a hot sensation when Yolié put her forearm into a beam. After forty to forty-five minutes the objects reportedly gathered near the railway and departed eastward. Galíndez also records Dora’s later treatment for burns, persistent mist and odour, affected vegetation and small white pellets. A carbonate analysis of the pellets is attributed to chemist Walter Gonzalo Tell, but such reported material does not establish an extraterrestrial source. Yolié herself considered a terrestrial technology possible. This is a later witness interview, not the author’s direct observation. The plate combines the nearby disc with the separately observed distant silhouettes, and this record remains distinct from the parallel catalogue entry UFO-12201.
