Caretaker Isidoro Ferri reported a sequence of unusual lights at Villa La Radicchia near Polcanto in October 1984. The catalogue gives October 9 at 3:30 a.m.; one fuller reconstruction describes the night of October 9–10. A powerful light entering his bedroom woke him while his son remained asleep.
Across the road, roughly forty metres away, Ferri said he saw a tall humanlike outline with a strong light coming from its head or helmet. He initially considered an ordinary person, such as a poacher. The shape disappeared, replaced by a dark horizontal form and three downward-directed pinkish lights. A much brighter white illumination then advanced toward the villa. He felt unable to move or call out as it approached.
When the light withdrew, he regained movement. A red, incandescent-looking sphere appeared and moved away behind the hills. He reported eye irritation afterward. The catalogue compresses these changing phases into a glowing man and luminous sphere; they were not necessarily simultaneous.
Carabinieri reportedly found three small circular depressions arranged roughly triangularly, and checks detected no abnormal radiation. Other reports concerned a red light that night, without establishing the humanoid observation. The creature’s facial features, clothing and connection to the changing lights remain unresolved.
October9 versus night October9–10 remains uncertain. These are changing sequential appearances, not simultaneous fixed craft/occupant. Depressions and eye irritation are reported; radiation checks were ordinary.
