San Francisco reported aerial observation — March 1966

Object was originally sighted 10 deg above horizon, ending up deg above horizon, on a NW to ESE line. Like a plane on fire and turning on fire being momentarily extinguished and flashed again. Approached the Ground. I would like to add the object moved quite slowly and changed from a point source to a larger irregular shaped light before disappearing below the horizon. LOCATION: ORIGINALLY SIGHTED 10° ABOVE HORIZON. I am an electrical engineer at the u.s. naval ordnance test station. i have observed what appears to be a ver erect at the attached report. i certify the report is truthful & accurate to the best of my memory. this was that experience time lapse. BUT THE OBJECT GLOWED AND SEEMED OF THE FINAL ODD BREAK-UP NATURE THAT THE WEATHER BUREAU SAYS THEY CANNOT EXPLAIN ON ANYTHING THEY HAVE ALSO, IT JUST SEEMED WAY TOO SLOW FOR ANY METEORITE FALL.
