Case description
The Domène file contains separate January 1976 reports, not one collective encounter. The fullest entity statement concerns a schoolboy on 5 January at about 18:00. After leaving friends, he was alone near fields when he heard a whistle and saw a grounded, luminous cone approximately 2.5 metres high. It displayed several colours. A door opened onto a brilliant yellow interior, and a man emerged with yellow hair and green backs to his hands.
The boy said the man extended his arms; he fled, heard a loud noise behind him and no longer saw the object. The next evening near home he saw a light and apparently the same man, but no craft. His police statement was taken on 8 January after his mother had kept him away for a day because of his distress. Contemporary newspaper coverage identifies him as ten and describes long blond hair, a shiny coverall and five supports beneath the cone. Those details extend the much shorter official summary and remain attributed to the reporting.
Other statements concern an oval light on 6 January, a large red-yellow luminous form on 8 January, four lights seen by motorists on 13 January and a prolonged morning light near Biviers on 15 January. Their witnesses, times and descriptions remain separate. Gendarmes found no confirming traces; GEIPAN classifies the case C for insufficient reliable information. The plate selects the boy’s first encounter and avoids adding later observers or merging different craft descriptions.
