The NICAP entry places this report at Sítio Dentro, Rio Grande do Norte, on August 26, 1979. Its surviving short description says two men were walking when they looked up and saw an enormous object approaching. The expanded account associated with Bob Pratt’s UFO Danger Zone describes a more specific setting: bar owner Francisco Oliveira was closing while his last customer inflated a bicycle tyre before going home. In that Pratt-linked version, a huge object illuminated the surroundings almost like daylight. Through a window compared with a television screen, the men reportedly saw the heads and upper bodies of two similar-looking occupants. Both witnesses went inside. They heard a loud crash as the object passed and, too frightened to investigate immediately, discovered the following day that part of the tiled roof had fallen in. This sequence reports an association, without establishing what caused the damage. The match between the brief NICAP record and the expanded version remains provisional. INTCAT places Oliveira’s incident just after midnight on August 27, whereas the NICAP and Hatch entries give August 26; their state wording also differs. The Atlas preserves these differences rather than treating precise time, geography or occupant anatomy as settled. No claimed taking aboard is established by the available account.
